什么是糖尿病病患运动治疗?

糖尿病病患运动治疗是特别为糖尿病患者而设的具体运动计划。 在物理治疗师的监督下, 病患者以运动来达到体重控制, 提高对胰岛素的敏感度与改善血糖浓度。


一般上, 糖尿病的病因是由于病患者丧失胰岛素分泌能力,或对胰岛素的排斥性。

以上的情况可能降低细胞对血糖的吸收功能, 而引起血糖过高症。 糖尿病患者的体能都会比一般健康人士低, 而体重过高更容易令糖尿病恶化。

DIABEX is a group exercise programme managed by our team of physiotherapists. The programme aimed to help the person with diabetes to achieve the goals of weight management, improve insulin sensitivity, as well as sustain glucose-lowering effects.

The SGH Diabetes Exercise Programme comprises of a thrice weekly outpatient sessions for a total of 18 sessions. The exercise programme is individually customised, with participants
undergoing aerobic, stretching and strength training in a group setting under the supervision
of a physiotherapist. Participants will also undergo objective tests which include a Fat Percentage
Analysis and Submaximal Cardiopulmonary Exercise Test before and after the programme.

Therapeutic Fitness - 20 Sessions, S$273.39
this is for people who only want supervised exercise sessions but did not sign up for the weight management programmes. About S$13.67 per session

Activity based Obesity Management - 18 Sessions, S$214.00
This is for people who did sign up for the weight management programme. Works out to be S$11.89 per session

Osteoporosis Exercise Class - 4 Sessions, S$113.96. Dont think we need this so didnt ask the details

DIABEX (Diabetes Exercise) - 18 Sessions, S$266.97. The best thing about this exercise program is, if you are referred by a polyclinic, it is HALF price! So it is only SGD7.39 per session. It is valid for two packages, i.e. 36 sessions. Thereafter, you need a updated referral from the polyclinic to continue with the half price.

Prices already include GST. Does not include health assessment fee S$76.50

Beivied - Health Assessment at SGH

I went for a health assessment at SGH Life Centre on Wed morning. This is for participating in the Weight Management Programme. They need to assess what is my fitness condition before being able to participate in the program. Supposedly they will also tailor a more suitable exercise program according to my fitness level.

I was late for half an hour.. when I finally arrived at SGH, I took another half an hour before I found the well hidden Life Centre. 找到要死, 都不用上跑步机了啦。。。

First they took my blood pressure, then I was asked to put on a heart rate monitor and Polar watch.

Then I was asked to lift weights and also push weights using my legs, to determine what is the max weight that my strength can endure.

I was also asked to walk on a treadmill, gradually increasing speed and inclination. By 5.5km/hour and 14% inclination, my heartbeat already went up to the max safety rate of 162. Every minute or so my blood pressure was taken.

Verdict: very unfit for my age.


Well, I would be surprised if I was very fit... but I thought I would be just unfit, you know, not very unfit.

I think that it was pretty good to do a health assessment. It shows me realistically my fitness condition.

Also, the fitness instructor can give more proper advice on exercising safely...

Tigger, you said we should do kickboxing instead, and I told you that I did quite a few times before? The fitness instructor said actually I am not fit enough to do kickboxing. I told him I get very out of breath by about 45 minutes into kickboxing, he said it is actually quite dangerous..

9.30am - waffle with peanut butter, Teh Xi - This was at SGH, they dont have any healthy breakfast, this is about the most healthy liao ..
2pm - Prawn Noodles (米粉汤)with no additional schallot or oil.
slept at 5-6pm till 9pm
woke up, nothing to eat.
cooked two bowls of fried brown rice with mock ham and frozen mixed vege, using 4 teaspoons oil. ate at 10.30pm
also drank two bowls of my ginger tea cooked with longan and red dates.

Diet has been BAAADDDD over the weekend... must go back to controlling my food!!!

12 midnight - 3am - sipping NutriSoy reduced sugar soya bean milk, now maybe 100ml liao?

I have not recorded my food intake for one week. I cannot remember what I ate and at what time, but I can only roughly say what went in, at least in Seoul, and today.

My parents in law moved in with me on Wednesday, I cooked vegetarian dinner, which consist of old cucumber and 枸杞 soup with mock mutton, and one Chinese mushroom cooked with carrot and potatoes. And brown rice. Ate this during my night working hours too.

cant remember what i ate on Thu, except dinner again, vegetarian dishes cooked by my mother in law. Ate bibimbap (Korean rice) on the airplane. Had orange juice too I think.

The stuff in Korea.... I had kimchi at every meal, and alllll kinds of Korean food la. Dunno how to record it, but it must be enough to make me put on weight, which I still havent weighed myself since I am back ..

Today 17/03/09
10.30am- Kimchi burger that I bought in Seoul but havent eat. Three coffee biscuit thins from Ikea, with 3 in 1 coffee with Soya. And some kimchi.
3pm - two slices of bread with peanut butter and cheese spread. And one cup of yoghurt drink
6.30pm - vegetarian dinner. Old cucumber soup with 枸杞 and carrot。 Broccoli stir fried with chinese mushrooms and carrot. White rice mixed with a bit of brown rice. Very light cos my mother in law didnt put any oil at all.
9pm - by this time I got hungry. Ate two small bowls of soup, which I added mock meat inside.

4am - The same as 17/03/09 dinner, but soup havent drink yet. Two big handfuls of Taco chips. One cup of tea with two satchets of Equal.

Tigger particularly following the Olong tea method, which say that drink Olong tea - 1 L per day (without sugar one) will loss 2kg even for doing nothing IF u drik it for 2 months

So i bought the cheap popo brand Olong tea (100bags for $8.10) and drank 65oml per day ....

And there is one common trend behind all these newspaper clip i.e. exercise every day .. they have this 排毒舞, being part of the 100 days slimming with billy. I called and asked before, it cost abt $1k-2k, and u also need to spend few hundreds bucks on a juicer and some other things as well... and have to wake up every morning to do the dance....

But my problem is every morning cannot wake up,, if wake up no time to exercise, coa late le...

Hey, not sure if you gals realised but I have provided you with admin rights to this blog, which means you can edit anything, from posts to customization of the blog.

We can make use of this to maintain our weight and food blogs. Instead of posting a new blog everytime we want to update our current weight and daily food intake, we can just use one post, and edit it everytime.

For example:

Beivied - Food Log since 25 Feb 2009
and I put: 25/02/2009 - ate Shrimp Wonton
and I post the blog.

Tomorrow I go back to this same post, and click Edit Post.

Then I add: 26/02/2009 - Bread with Kaya, Coffee


Do the same thing everyday and all your food intake is only in one post. Unlike now it is very hard to keep track as a proper food diary.

And we can do the same for weight. So each of us has one weight blog, one food blog.

Tigger - Weigh in

Yesday I weigh myself after the ABT workout - 110.5kg... hahaha drop 0.5kg but probably due to water loss after the workout =D

But good to see changes on the weighing scale =D

BTW, I have NOT try the LS pills, maybe tonight, so that I 2 days exercise and 3 days LS hahahaha

Okay okay, apart from the LS plan, Tigger might do a 3 day fast too =D next week ba...

(now I am munching on kueh bakit)

Beivied - My own experience with Slimming Centre

Not sure if Pooh knows about it, but I had a try at a slimming centre for free, somewhere in August last year. I only went for four sessions, lost 2 kg in the first three days, but gained it back very quickly too. This is what they asked me to do:

Treatment - There are two parts of my treatment every time, lasting about one hour to one and a half hours. First I sit under this infra red machine, with a lot of connections pasted onto me, and when they switch on the machine, there is this vibration that goes through me from the connection points. They will turn up the power to the point where the vibration hurts a bit. I lie there for about half an hour.

The vibration can hurt a little, especially on more tender area like the inner thigh. But after five to ten minutes, it is more bearable. And the general feeling is warm, so it is not too bad.

After that, the machine is switched off. They would use this light green cream and smear it all over my arms, thighs, calves and stomach. And then I will be wrapped up tightly with a huge roll of bandage, like a mummy. This is when the suffering begins. According to the beautician, this cold treatment force my body to burn fats. It is bitterly cold, I feel as if the cream is eating into my skin and I tremble a lot during the miserable half hour to forty five minutes. And I am dying to rip off the bandage and get the cream off me cos it is too cold and stings. Feels like torture.

The best thing is, they tell me this isnt the part that will guarantee me slimming down and that it is more for toning.

The part that will make sure I slim down, is my diet.

They gave me a bottle of orange liquid, and two bottles of pills. The liquid is my meals. Dont be mistaken, it is not milkshake, it is really only orangy liquid. I am supposed to eat nothing at all for three days every week, only the orangy liquid, and two green pills, two white pills. If I feel hungry, I can only take a bit more of the orange liquid, mixed with a lot a lot of water.

They call it the detoxification programme. Sure, I only have water and pills for three days a week, nothing else goes into me.

On the first day, I felt like fainting after only half a day. I stick to it as much as possible on the first three days, and that was when I lost two kilograms. Most probably it was water loss rather than fat loss. Cos after just one day of eating normal (I didnt gorge myself), the weight came back.

Thereafter I never managed to fast for that three days a week. I must admit that I find it too hard. Maybe Tigger will find it easier, but I personally feel that it is not healthy and not practical to maintain over a long period.

I mean, do I have to go to a slimming centre for this? If someone doesnt eat for three days every week, of course will slim down lah.

At the end of the four sessions, I didnt lose any weight.

Conclusion: going to a slimming centre does not guarantee more success and less work required. Even if you lose weight during the slimming session, if you never learn how to eat properly, you will still gain back the weight very quickly because you didnt change your life style permanently.

Pooh, if you are still interested to go and try a slimming centre, you should consult your doctor first, because of your existing medical conditions, your body and heart may not be able to take the treatment and any rapid weight loss. Get the doctor clearance first. Remember that losing weight is not just about looking nice (although it is a BIG incentive), it is also about being healthy.

Beivied - SGH Weight Management Programme

I have just made an appointment for health assessment at SGH Life Centre for the weight management programme, on Wednesday morning. I will need to wear exercise clothing and sport shoes.

My friend is also on the weight management programme at SGH. She was about 90kg and have cholesterol and diabetes problem, and was advised by her doctor to take on the programme to cut down on her weight. She told me that she has learned how to choose her food wisely, and gradually increasing her exercise level to help her lose weight. Sounds pretty good to me :)

Pooh almost forgot

still remenber keong ever run for 1 month nv take dinner then slim down 18kg ? he can do it why he cant force me to do ? i feel tat he dun wan me to slim !!! really hate him ....... selfish ppl !! think he wan me to die faster !!!!!!!!!

Hey , i really plan to go walk every night from mon ~ fri after work go downstair walk , but if nv eat pooh gastric pain . So i ever ask u all , itz ok if come back from walk i cook some soup but by the time eating will be around .....8.30 le leh ? ok mah ? I plan cook either vegi wif pork or fish ball soup , ok mah ?

Next , keong alway say tired , dun feel like goin for the walk . Then i wan to go alone i scare oso n he dun allow oso ..... haiz ...... how ?

My friend told me , London Weigh , got slimming programme $ 300 , 5 session , each 2 n a half hour .

Beivied - one week Overdue

I know I have disappeared for one week .... I dont have internet access in Bali, hence I am not able to update the blog.

Anyway, one week of info is tough! What I feel consoled would be, diving is, to some certain, a bit of exercise, given that the water is pretty cold, I might have burned some fats. I also had to swim through approximately 500m of water four times a day for five days at least, before I get to my dive site and more finning underwater.

The bad part, is food. I am on a holiday right, so, naturally, I eat. Cant remember what I have eaten, but every morning I had two slices of bread, one coffee, one fruit juice, one or two eggs, and a ham/sausage. Maybe a croissant sometimes. For lunch, it is mainly nasi campur, which is basically like nasi lemak. one day we had babi guling, which is basically balinese roast pork with rice. we had fruits like rambutans, snake fruits, oranges, durians. Every day dinner we eat local balinese food, local balinese chinese food. on the very last day, I had diarrhea and LS at least eight times. Went to see doctor immediately once I touched down at Changi Airport. Did I expel all the fats from my trip? I hope so...

I also had a bad fall at Bali, does that help to burn any fat...?

I know to both of you looking at the price you all will dare not to eat one lah, hahahaha

Tigger - Weigh in

Ai ... Just cleared my desk and found my last year office medical report, as at Jul 2008 I weigh at 112kg.

I remember that was the time my maid left, and I am very determind to lose some weight after being a working tai tai for 2 years.. I took up ABT workout for 2 months and the lowest weigh in I got is abt 108kg, which means about 4kg loss...

Then I am not too sure why , fasting month and Hari Raya, I gained some much weight all the way to Christmas to CNY then i gain back almost all the weight ... ya see after CNY I weighed abt 112kg too...

After 2 session of Kickboxing + ABTs , now I weigh about 111.6kg.... at least it is not 11 2 , but so sad that I did not go all the way down since Jul 08

Hence I must set new target (to cater to weight increase for Aug 2009 - Sep 09 Fasting and Feasting).

10% for 6 months.... meaning 100kg by Jul 09 ... so I should set at 98KG BA

So apart from the 2 workout session ... I am going for a 10000 steps per day ... using my pedometer (given by my company) but today I forgot to bring... tml onwards ba.. if i get helmey involved means i need to get more pedometer (*think*think*)

Now I one week workout 2 days le, increasing to 3 days ...

I am still looking for either gym or the weight management courses, in Poly ba, cheaper... it just need to get stated some where... if we depend on ourselfves, I wonder when will we all slim down...

Pooh feel very down ="(

Pooh feel very down ...... really hate her , i still remember she ever told me : i can't afford to have kids till i got money !! I some times regret to recommend her the doctor ! I cant control myself keep cursing her n her son , i am too depress le , her personal message ever say : we are like stranger , very disappointed to u , i feel tat she is refering me ....... keong ask me to delete her from my friend list but tat will cause many problem ! I really really very vex , i dunno wat to do .....

Am i crazy ? Tigger - Exercise Plan, New beginning

Both of you going to envious abt me le

I started Kick Boxing on every monday and ABT on every tuesday this week. and it will goes on for 9 weeks. This one office organised one , so it start abt 6pm - 7pm .. I joined with my boss some more .... so can cabo hahahaha

But I tell u very very siong, cos these 2 days my legs are sooooo sore, i could hardly move my poor thigh .. and aching all over until I need to take panadol... and i did not jog too... leg too pain le.

At least it covers 2 days in a week le...

New plan is to add at least 1 more running session to the kickboxing and ABT lesson, adds up to 3 session per week

Actually I have very good environment, cos my office got gym... shd i throw in 1 gym session.....

Mmm also I went to woodland poly last yesterday , they have

1) Weight Management Programme $360 for a 6 month programme
includes 10 session to see doctor, nurse, dietician,,, abt 3 each
also 6 workout session
also ECG
also dunno what starter kit

2) GYM - by privite service provider
They tell me 6 month programme means u go gym 2 times a month, hence they ask me if I want to sign up for gym membership , that I can come any time i like, where they will plan for you a 30min cardio session and some toning according to your needs... but is $120 for 3 months

After much consideration, I think to go for the talk which cost me abt $5 for the weight management programme first... and the gym part, if I am discipline enuf , I could have use my office facility, do i need the trainer... errrr.. second thot, may be better lor hahahahah

too bad this is at woodland (marsiling MRT) else we can go together

Beivied - Five Sinful days

Ok, I cannot recollect exactly what I ate. Let me try ..

Sat - Swensen breakfast, with egg, sausages, toast and coffee.
Sleep.
Pizza Dinner. Banana and marshmallow and choc sauce dessert.
Went to friend BBQ only ate chao mi fen.

Sunday - Forgot what breakfast was. Most probably pizza again.
Lunch - two bowls of Mummy's lovely chicken curry.
Dinner - Mummy birthday dinner. Please refer to Tigger's post.

Monday - supposed to go for health assessment for weight management programme but cannot wake up cos slept at 7am Monday morning.
What was breakfast? cant remember.
What was lunch (after I wake up)? cant remember. should be three slices of french toast.
What was dinner? Chicken sandwich

Tuesday -
did i take breakfast? I should have, but cant remember.
Lunch .. lunch ... err... hmm... dunno. :((( might be the french toast. Then what did i have on Monday? Hmmm...
Dinner - took three loaves of Breadtalk bread throughout the night.

Wednesday -
Breakfast - Maybe one more breadtalk bread.
Lunch - Lots of broccoli, mushroom and some boiled potatoes.
Dinner - the same thing as lunch, but much more potatoes, very little broccoli left. And my colleague's Filipino choc powder cooked with rice.
now full, FULL, fat, FULL, FAT, FULL.

I dont even have a weighing scale to weigh myself. And I am going to Bali for six days from Friday. If I can log into internet, I will blog from there as well. :)

Ok, we ALL NEVER EAT PROPERLY during Chinese New Year. Cant say QIAN GONG JING QI - we just need to get back to being very careful about what we eat...

This is really a big fat year

Last day of work - Boss bring us to Pizza Hut
Reunion - we had a steamboat feast with my Muslim side of family
Day 1 & 2 - had steamboat at Mama house
Day 3 had Swenson
Day 4 & 5 Normal
Day 6 again Steamboat + Lohei with friends
Day 7 again Steamboat + Lohei with Family
Day 8 to 10 Normal but not less
Day 11 Carsouel... International buffet + Lohei
Day 12 had 2 heavy teabreak buffet
Day 13 had Steamboat at friend's place + Lohei again
Day 14 celebrate mama's birthday, had Cze Char and crab
Day 15 The Final MCYS Buffet + Lohei

and u know what i weight myself , it is at 111.10kg.. about the same as what I weight before all y diet programme.......

OMG 前功尽弃!!!!

So sad...

Pooh 午餐吃什么 ?

Pooh"s 07/02/09 早餐







Pooh's 早餐= 4 slice of wholemeal bread with peach jam ( meant for diabetes ppl ) + 1 cup of 3 in 1 coffee + 2 boil egg . ( 7.45 am )
Pooh tonight got BBQ at punggol park , will try not to eat too much , coz they oso nv prepared much , hahahaha

Pooh was still not feeling well , gastric pain ..... think i skip meal ba

Pooh cannot skip meal , so after exercise , cook some simple soup but itz ok to eat around 9 plus ?

Pooh after work reach home nearly 8pm le , change clothes n excerise at home 8.30 go downstair walk for 30min ++ reach home 9 plus , cook soup , bath ..... 9.30 then eat ..... wow ! will fatter mah ?

If not then how ? Pooh lunch time is 2pm to 3 pm

Pooh nv go excerise on 6/2/09 , due to gastric still pain , vomit twice .....

Wei wei wei, how come today both of you never post???

Actually I seem to be the only one not exercising .. except for walking my dogs.. and Tigger, no I dun intend to carry them ... 10kg each!!


5th Feb food intake was not good.. basically it was peanut butter sandwich, brown rice porridge, pb sandwich, pb sandwich, brown rice porridge. Also drank soya bean. Too much carbo!!!

exercise, i walked my dogs slightly longer, maybe 2km and got chased by five cats. i didnt run, but maybe the fright cause my heartbeat to go so fast that i burn some calories.

6th Feb - Exercise, also walked the dogs, maybe 1 - 1.5km...

As for food intake, so far ok, but morning dunno why I felt really hungry .. ate one slice pizza (my leftover) and one sandwich, went to bed very full... then i had dong gua soup with carrots. 11pm had some brown rice and a few broccoli, which I cooked for tonight, but 11pm was a bit hungry so dug a bit to eat first. oh and a small banana muffin that I made. Had to test ok or not before i make more right.. .. hehehe..

tomorrow morning going for Swensen breakfast with my colleagues.. i must choose the healthiest option .. and evening got colleague bbq.. i dun intend to eat there.. god save me!!!

Administration - Blog Posting Structure

Tigger called me today and suggested we should categorise our blogs to make it neater and easier to search through for information etc.

This is my suggestion:

1) For blogs regarding ourselves, the Subject should start with our nick
e.g. Beivied - Food Blog 04/02/2009, Pooh - Not Feeling Well , Tigger - Profile

2) If it is a blog for general information, your nick is not required. We can start the subject with the Type of information, then the actual subject. I have done this for the jogging events e.g. Jogging Event - Stanchart Run 09.
Other examples:
Article - How to Snack Healthily
Plan - Weight Management Program
Promotion - Organic Food on Sale at Bugis Junction

2a) The possible subjects are:
Article - if you see some useful article on a website, or on a magazine, you can blog it here to share.
Tip - also something that you see somewhere that is useful, but very small/short
Plan - This should only be used if it is a generic plan suggested somewhere. If it is a plan only for yourself, you shoudl start it with your nick e.g. Tigger - Exercise Plan, Pooh - Diet Plan, Beivied - Skin Care Plan
Event - any exercise event, diet workshop, exhibitions, or our own home gathering that we anticipate a lot of eating, how we should minimize the calorie intake.

Pooh - Not feeling well =(

Today due to having training , so nv take pic on food .

Breakfast = 2 boil egg + toast bread 3 slice + coffee

Lunch =chicken rice

dinner = soup only , fish ball , hot dog , tou po , vegi , meat

HOW ????

Ok, becos I work NYK hours, my meals are a bit off..

10am - one small cup of Yoghurt and a slice of Pizza (left over from Sat) - high calories :(

6pm - Mixed vege rice - cant rem whats in it, but there is chicken and vegetables

3am - White rice with stir fried long beans, mushrooms and a bit of chicken - cooked myself

Snacks - one cup of tea, two prunes, a handful of wasabi peas. one cup of no sugar added orange juice

Mistake One - too much carbo. I should try to have at least one meal with no carbo.

Mistake Two - Slept too late (11am), caused me to be hungry. Wake up too early (5pm).
Should sleep earlier and wake up later to avoid eating too much.

Exercise done today - vacuumed the house, mopped the house twice, walked the dogs twice - probably 1 to 1.5km walk in total

Plan - sleep earlier tomorrow. Walk the dogs for longer distance. Buy a weighing scale. Buy a skipping rope and two 1kg weights.

Tigger starts religious class yesterday, so every Tues and Thurs got class @ home, with a lady teacher comes to my house... must be spiritally fit as well...

Dun ask me what i ate yesterday ... most will faint.....

4/2/09 I weight myself OMG ... today is 110.6kg, how come, how come =(, I gained 0.9kg... and I am going for company buffet tomorrow =( , saturday Connie's house, sunday Mummy's Birthday...

Jogging Event - Greatest Charity Run

Ok ok, this is the last one that I will post today .. because i have no more other runs on my list ;p

Besides taking part in the 2.4 or 5 km run on 24 Apr 09, participants will also have the opportunity to break a Guinness World Record. We are attempting the Largest Human Wheelbarrow Race in human history with an estimated 10,000 to 15,000 people. This record was originally held by Anglican High School, Singapore, with 700 participants. On 9 Sept 2008, Carey Baptist Grammar School of Melbourne broke our record with 1,044 particpants. We intend to bring this record back to Singapore with a number that will remain with us for a long, long, time.
The runs will be flagged off in batches at 6.30pm (2.4km), 7.15pm (2.4km) and 8pm (5km). Before or after the runs, participants can take part in the wheelbarrow race which will be held simultaneously at the Poly sports field. The distance required for this Guinness record is walking with your hands, legs held by your partner, for only 50 m.
So after this event, you can go home as a world record breaker.

Pooh - Food and Plans - 03/02/2009

Pooh's Breakfast = mee feng + chicken wing + vegi + soya milk

Pooh's Lunch = plain porrigde + fish + sweet n sour pork ( but nv finish the pork as very SOUR )

Pooh's Dinner = I eat some 4 meat ball and wu xiang ( very little portion )

Pooh go downstair walk for half hours , Pooh can't run , leg pain and back pain .

BUT , before Pooh go down Pooh got do 3 times sit up , ( coz cannot up , hahahaha ) Well oso other simple excerise =) Abit tired lor but feel very happy =D

Last night , around 3.30am go toilet pupu . After my lunch oso go pupu , Keong say VERY GOOD !! hahahahahahahahaha..............1 day muz pupu twice , heehee

Hey , we try our own way to slim down , we muz not give up . For our health , we have to encourage each other , actually i can say i am the most lazy of all , and my hubby alway will say nvm lah , eat abit lor OR example today , he say dun go for the walk rest one day but i tell myself NO ! I WANT TO GO !!! I CAN"T STOP !! I want him to force me but he nv at all , we can't depend on other ppl , but we muz encourage each other , we muz really do it n prove to ppl : WE CAN MAKE IT !!!

And try not to spend too much on it lah , my way will sure works ;p Pooh will PROVE to you ;p

Har so chim one har ...





Tigger 34 years old .... mother of 2 (hence explain part of the fats comes from) ... born fat ... live fat and hopefully not die fat ... me not too sure if I have a slimmest period ... cos I was 85kg when I am Sec 4, Married that time was 75-80kg ... Current BMI 41.8 (hey lower than Pooh wahahahaha)

I tried Panbasy otherwise know as the most effective slimming pills, prescribe from doctor, but I tell u this, this thingy got too much side effect... u will end up living like a very unhappy person....so I stopped.

My goal is to
- run 5km (Shape Run 2009) in less than 1 hr (best record 59min)
- run 10km in Standard Chartered Marathon... whatever timing , just want to finished a 10km
- lost 10% meaning abt 11kg in 3 months? ( extendable to 12 months though, aiyo i will pray to GOD dun increase very good le)

(*burp*) sorry had a very heavy Brunch today ... and am I person who need to eat to lift up my mood... so i cut dinner tonight .. I ran yesterday hor... 30min, abt 0.4km ba ........ + the exercise in the Senior Citizen corner =)

What I do to reach my goal
- Run at least 3 times per week
- Cut Dinner
- Join Weight management? or buy Wii?

So joining the weight management ir buy Nintendo Wii? Arghrrrr Headache

INFO - Weight Management Programmes

Ok, let's face it - none of us here are well disciplined enough or have really strong determination to sweat it out everyday. We just cannot ignore the pain in the knees (or anywhere) that kicks in once we start to do anything close to even burning 10 calories. We are not able to push away the innocent looking plate of chicken rice and tuck into a bowl of raw green vegetables. That is why we are fat. And getting fatter.


Tigger and I have talked about this before - Weight management programmes from hospitals. Not sure if this make any sense, but to be monitored and advised by proper dieticians, sports consultants sounds like help to me.
